A Lovely April Day

I had the good pleasure of a day off on a sunny day last week. Shepard and I were able to go to the park with Nana and Pops and try out a swing for the first time. Shepard was a little sleepy but very obliging.
As a kid, my dad would let me stand on his feet as he waltzed us around the living room singing "I was strolling through the park one day..."

Standing Up!

Still have some from a few weeks ago to piece together...but I wouldn't want to deprive anyone from all this cuteness. (Him, not me...I shamelessly make piggy noises on this one)

So woefully behind. Speaking of behind...

...that's about all we see of the little some days. He crawls and moves so fast, he's leaving old mama and dada in the dust!
I'm a little behind in getting videos up. This one is from the end of March. Working on getting those up to date this weekend...

Stats for the Kidlet

Nine-month check-up today. Nothing exotic to report. In addition to the "spirited" adjective we received last visit, we got "social, happy, and energetic" today from Dr. C. Yes, indeed. His motor skills are advanced for his age and he has good muscle tone (all the better for pulling up on everything in sight, right Shepard?).

Stats are:
Height: 29.5" (83rd percentile)
Weight: 20 lb., 12 oz. (50th percentile)
Head circumference: 44.5 cm (about 25th percentile)

We're so thankful to have a healthy and energetic munchkin. The doctor also confirmed that this is a dangerous time for him (yup. figured that out) as he could basically fall in a toilet or tub with water or try any manner of things due to his ever-increasing mobility. Thank God for the pack-n-play, 'cause sometimes Mommy just has to go to the bathroom or make a bottle. Doc also said to start giving him whatever we're eating. (in small pieces) So, Pad Thai for dinner tonight!!! (ha. kidding)

Hopefully some videos will magically appear this weekend. If Mommy's magic elves will help her.
